rope-ladder

Codebase onboarding, made navigable

Climb into a codebase with a curriculum, not a scavenger hunt.

rope-ladder studies a repository through your chosen coding agent, then creates cited references, readable architecture and entity diagrams, a prerequisite-aware lesson plan, and a private teaching-assistant journal.

The learning loop

Start with the map. Learn the terrain in order.

01 · Generate

Inspect safely

Choose your existing coding agent and explicitly authorize a bounded analysis of the source.

02 · Study

Follow the ladder

Read concise references, architecture and entity maps, then move through prerequisite-aware lessons.

03 · Reflect

Keep the signal

The local TA asks one focused question at a time and records only your private reflections.

Public curricula are reviewed pull requests.

When a curriculum comes from source you may disclose, rope-ladder can prepare a candidate for the public catalog. It never publishes automatically, and it never uploads journals, workspace state, caches, or provider credentials.
